picture books about family
In celebration of Family Literacy Day (which was on Jan 27 2012), the Canadian Children’s Book Centre compiled a list of 50 Canadian children’s books involving the subject of family.
One of the books posted was one published by us -- Missuk's Snow Geese, written by Anne Renadd and illustrated by Genevieve Cote.
It is a lovely one!
And, in fact, some of our new titles are actually all about families, too!
Mermaids by Cynthia Heinrichs and illustrated by Jumin Lee (Like Missuk's Snow Geese, this tale is about a girl who wants to do the same job as her parents.)
Oliver's Tantrums by Boriana and Vladimir Todorov, about jealousy of a sibling and the tantrums this causes.
When I Was Small by Sara O'Leary and Julie Morsad -- the third in the Henry series; each book is the imaginative discussions between parents and child.
